Also known as Starflower, this annual herb produces leaves and flowers that are edible and can be added to both sweet and savory dishes. Also, it can be eaten raw and mixed with green salads, yogurts and stocks. It also makes attractive container plants. Grows to 12-24 inches.

• Planting Information:
  When and where to plant: Select sunny location with light, dry, infertile soil, and sow seed as soon as ground can be worked. Cultivate soil and make successive plantings at 4 week intervals to extend use. Does not transplant well.
  Care: Apply water moderately.
  Harvesting: Clip fresh, young leaves and stems just before flowers open. Harvest flowers just after they open.
  Storage: Store seed in cool, dry place. Heat and moisture can severely reduce germination.
