How It Works

The Tray2Grow operates on AutoPot’s signature AQUAvalve technology — a simple but ingenious mechanism that lets plants control their own hydration.

Water or nutrient solution flows from your reservoir into the tray via the AQUAvalve. As the tray fills to around ¾ inch deep, the valve automatically shuts off, creating a sealed chamber. This allows your microgreens to draw up moisture through capillary action until the tray is completely dry.

Once the surface moisture is consumed and the tray dries down, the vacuum inside the AQUAvalve breaks — triggering the next fill cycle. This built-in wet/dry rhythm mimics natural watering patterns and keeps the root zone perfectly balanced — never waterlogged, never too dry.
